Specifying PCB Laminates to Your Performance Needs Webinar
The majority of printed circuit boards can be designed on generic FR 4 laminates without significant impact upon the printed circuit boards’ performance. However, it is increasingly common for critical signal integrity requirements to drive designers towards the use of alternative laminates with very specific characteristics in order to achieve specific results.
In this webinar as we will describe applications where it is advisable to pre-select a specific material product and to design your circuit with that material’s properties in mind.
Webinar Agenda:
- Brief overview of FR4 materials – standard, high-temperature, and low-loss.
- Description of high frequency PCB applications beyond the limits of FR4, which will require materials (Rogers, Taconic, etc.) specifically tailored to such PCBs.
- Properties of some commonly used high frequency materials.
- Specific examples, including hybrid constructions using mixed high frequency materials in FR4 stack-ups.
