Design, Validation, and Manufacturing - All Under One Roof

No two heater applications are the same, which is why Epec combines engineering, design, and manufacturing in one organization. We support a broad range of flexible heater technologies, including silicone, polyimide, wire-wound, etched foil, and fully custom constructions, with operating temperature ranges from -80°C to over 200°C. We routinely integrate connectors, temperature sensors, thermistors, thermocouples, thermostats, and even functional PCBs directly into the heater assembly.

Our engineers create all drawings and 3D models in-house, allowing customers to validate form, fit, and function before samples are built. This approach reduces risk, shortens development cycles, and eliminates costly rework.

Low Risk, Fast Path to Production

Epec is built to make flexible heaters accessible early in the design cycle. With low minimum order quantities and a $750 lot charge covering almost any custom flex heater, customers can validate designs without large upfront commitments. For early testing, we leverage our relationship with OMEGA as a stocking distributor, allowing customers to purchase off-the-shelf heaters for under $100 to evaluate performance before moving to a custom production design.

We routinely quote and reverse-engineer flexible heaters from incomplete data, physical samples, or legacy parts, enabling programs to move forward even when documentation is limited. Quotes are typically returned within one to two days, and custom flexible heater samples are delivered in three to five weeks.

Materials, Compliance, and Supply Chain Advantage

Epec uses name-brand 3M pressure-sensitive adhesives as standard, providing proven reliability and long-term confidence. We can also source and apply specialized 3M adhesives for high-temperature, low-outgassing, and demanding environmental requirements.

Where compliance is required, we can deliver customized UL Recognized heaters in weeks, eliminating months of lead time and thousands of dollars in third-party NRTL testing. In addition, our established Asia cable manufacturing relationships allow us to source specialty wire and materials that many flex heater suppliers cannot access.
