Epec Makes Investment in New Manufacturing Equipment
Release Date:
[June 11, 2019: New Bedford, MA] Epec Engineered Technologies recently announced that they have invested in new equipment for its manufacturing facility in New Bedford and Southbridge, Mass. These investments are driven by increasing demand from Epec’s current customers, and they provide additional manufacturing capacity for future programs current in Epec’s pipeline.
"These investments demonstrate Epec's commitment to our manufacturing footprint in the Massachusetts and the United States," said Epec Chief Executive Officer Ed McMahon. "With more capital available as a result of tax and regulation reform, Epec and other companies are able to re-invest and expand production here at home. This is crucial for us to continue to advance our state's economy and drive future investment, adding high-tech jobs and facilities that keep our businesses competitive in the global marketplace."
"These investments support our manufacturing capabilities, including additional capacity and technology upgrades to our battery pack design/development, CNC machining, and IPC Class III operations," McMahon added. "All of these projects support Epec's investment in next generation manufacturing and feature high levels of automation, new technologies, and advanced data analytics."
McMahon also noted that in addition to increasing the capacity and capabilities Epec needed, the investments also allow Epec to add highly skilled U.S. manufacturing jobs.
"To make high-reliability electronic products, we need highly skilled technicians and engineers to make it all happen," he said.
