Epec Hires Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to Support Customers
Release Date:
[March 18, 2019: New Bedford, MA] Epec Engineered Technologies recently announced the hiring of four new electrical and mechanical engineers to support customers’ demand for new product developments.
Ed McMahon, CEO of Epec, commented: "We have a team of CAM engineers that focus on our PCB products, but with growth requires new investments in not only equipment, but in people. As Epec continues to grow as an industry leader in custom battery packs, high reliability user interfaces, RF filters, and cable assemblies, we needed a higher level of engineers to work with customers to develop their custom solutions with these technologies."
Epec has tripled its non-PCB engineering team from two to six in a three-month period, added a new engineering manager, along with two additional electrical engineers, a production engineer, and three additional mechanical engineers.
This investment in people is much needed as Epec continues to grow its engineered product lines, having dedicated engineers on staff that can help customers and add value by being an extension of their customers engineering teams.
"A broker going direct to Asia doesn’t have the engineering know how to manufacture many of the high technology products we develop hear at Epec," McMahon said. "Our in-house engineering resources are a big reason why many top OEMs choose Epec, and that’s why we focus heavily on our investment in people."
Epec, with more than 150 employees worldwide, has shown real investment in people over the years and continues to grow as one of the top customized electronic product solutions manufacturers in the U.S.
