Epec Releases New Online Customer Portal

[May 20, 2015: New Bedford, MA] In continual efforts to improve their customers experience Epec Engineered Technologies, a leading provider of custom build to print electronic products, released today a new online portal for their customers.

This new online customer portal is a 24/7 self-service online site that enable their customers to easily get access to information when they want it. From an accounting standpoint, customers can view invoices, view summaries of outstanding and available balances, deposits, credit memo, and the terms associated with their account. There is even an option available to download or print their account statements.

Epec released a beta version of their customer portal around mid-March to a select group of customers. They then continued to make some minor enhancements based on customer feedback. Since March, there are now over 300 of Epec’s customers using this new online service.

"This new feature puts the power into the hands of our customers. Not many competitors in our industry have the IT resources and back-end infrastructure to support an online portal like this", remarked Lorie-Lyn Fernandes, IT Manager at Epec.

Besides the accounting features of Epec’s new online customer portal, there is also a feature that allows their customer to view current orders. Epec’s customers are now able to go online and view their order history, which is a huge factor regarding overhead going forward.

"Having the option for our customers to check their order history is going to really help our customers get the information they need on their products faster. It is also going to free up some overhead from our Customer Service and Accounting departments as they will no longer need to process these requests the old fashion way. We are a technical company, and our resources are using the most up-to-date technology available", commented Ed McMahon, CEO.

This new online customer portal is just one more way to enforce that Epec’s solutions provide a cost savings, technical resource, and delivery advantage for their customers.
