Epec Continues to Invest with User Interface Engineering Manager Jim Long

[January 8, 2014: New Bedford, MA] Epec Engineered Technologies, an innovator and leading provider of build to print products for all sectors of the electronics has recently invested in User Interface Engineering Manager, Jim Long. Jim's knowledge and extensive experience within the electronics industry will bring profound insight across all aspects of Custom User Interfaces and the industries served.
Jim Long studied Avionics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Daytona Beach, Florida. Jim graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Avionics Engineering and an Associate of Science in Aircraft Maintenance. Even while in attendance at ERAU Jim was the Test Engineering Supervisor for Corus Technology, Inc.
Upon completion of graduation Jim went on to become the Avionics Repair Station Manager for Thales Communications to which he provided worldwide, 24/7 AOG support for all Gulfstream Aircraft Corporate clients. Additionally he assisted in the start-up of Tactical Radio Customer Service Department that was in direct support of all Marine and Secret Service depot level repairs.
After departing Thales, Jim continued to sustain career growth in numerous high-profile positions. Prominently having worked as the Lead Test Engineer with Honeywell Aerospace Systems and even launching his own engineering consulting firm Solstice Engineering in 2004 where he led the design, integration and customer flight testing for Blackwater's Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft.
By 2008 Jim became the Project Test Manager for Alliant TechSystems Inc. With over 16 years in the Electronics industry, specializing in Avionics Epec is honored to have Jim Long a part of our team.
